The AWEA Booth at the AWW&WEA Conference in Hot Springs later this month will have a 'non-dispersable' theme. Stop by and see the display. We'll even send you home with a sample packet of wipes to help you remember this important issue!

Jacksonville Wastewater has a billboard on highway 67/67, vinyls on our cleaning and televising vehicles, postcards, and water bill inserts telling our customers to "Shut the Lid on Wipes" and "Can the Grease".

Duyen Tran gave a wonderful presentation on "Flushable vs. Dispersible" last night at the AWW&WEA Western District meeting. What are some of the ways you are working on education within your community?

I have been involved in a WEF Non-Dispersibles workgroup for the past 1 1/2 years. We are making progress with manufacturers and educating others. The state of Maine and INDA have launched a public awareness campaign about the ND issue. See this at Numerous newspaper and magazine articles are available at I am interested in stories from Arkansas. What kind of problems have you encountered at your wastewater treatment plants and lift stations with "flushable" wipes?
